Cancer- Early Detection & Monitoring

With 1 in 3 people expected to get cancer today, early detection is important. Fortunately, we have the antimalignin antibody in serum (AMAS) test. It detects and measures serum levels of AMA, an antibody found to be elevated in most patients with a wide range of active non-advanced terminal maligancies. Because your body responds with these antibodies to destroy the cancer as soon as it starts, the AMAS test provides one of the earliest froms of detection. It was developed by Harvard trained scientist Dr. Samuel Bogoch and his wife Dr. Eleanor Bogoch. It is patented and permitted to market by the FDA.

The AMAS test can be utilized for three important applications:

  • As part of an annual check-up. If the test is normal, other more invasive tools do not need to be explored.
  • To monitor the regression of the cancer. After treatment of a malignant cancer, the AMAS test
can help determine if it is gone.
  • To confirm malignancy after diagnostic tests like mammograms or x-rays have indicated possible cancer.

At times, clinical situations present vague signs and symptoms which may or may not be malignant.
The AMAS test, along with other clinical lab test results, may help the doctor in the diagnostic process. Other tests, like the CEA, measure less defined antigens that may not be elevated until later. In some cases, the AMAS test has been elevated from 1-19 months before clinical detection!

Multicenter double-blind determinations have been made, which included non-cancer control groups and malignancies of the breast, lung, brain, as well as melonomas, lymphomas, leukemias, and colon rectal malignancies. Also included in the study, in smaller numbers, where malignancies of the larynx, uterus, cervix, ovary, anus, stomach, prostate, bladder, testes, thyroid and skin. Both monitoring data and the retrospective survival study of over 500 cancer patients have shown that the AMAS test can be helpful in indicating disease progression and prognosis.

If you have a high cancer risk by exposure or genetic predisposition, an annual AMAS test beginning as early as your mid-thirties can give you the early warning you need. It is especiallay beneficial at detecting difficult cancers, particularly in the lung, breast, and ovaries. Call Dr. Casselberry’s Integrative Health Center at 440-943-3830 today to schedule an appointment to have an AMAS test performed.
